We are pleased to welcome Amber to Petfood Forum on April 27-29, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri.
What are you looking forward to the most at Petfood Forum?
Amber: I’m most looking forward to connecting face-to-face with suppliers and industry leaders who are driving innovation in ingredients, packaging and supply chain strategy. As a supply chain buyer in the pet food industry, it’s invaluable to be in a space where I can see new solutions firsthand and have real-time conversations about cost, quality and scalability.
What are you hoping to accomplish at Petfood Forum?
Amber: My goal is to strengthen existing supplier relationships while identifying new strategic partners who align with our quality and cost objectives. I am especially focused on learning more about protein sourcing trends, supply continuity strategies, and ways to improve operational efficiencies across procurement and production.
Which exhibitors are you looking forward to visiting?
Amber: I’m particularly interested in visiting ingredient and protein suppliers, packaging manufacturers, and premix/blend partners that support scalability and cost control. Companies focused on domestic protein sourcing, value-added ingredients, innovative packaging solutions and supply chain visibility tools are at the top of my list. I am also excited to explore vendors offering automation, traceability and forecasting solutions that support long-term procurement strategy.
Which educational sessions are you looking forward to?
Amber: I’m especially interested in sessions covering ingredient market trends, protein availability and pricing forecasts, supply chain risk mitigation and sustainability in pet food manufacturing. Understanding how macroeconomic factors and regulatory changes impact ingredient sourcing is critical to making informed purchasing decisions, so I’m eager to gain insights I can apply immediately.
Are you planning to do anything fun while you’re in Kansas City?
Amber: I’m looking forward to exploring Kansas City’s food scene and connecting with industry peers outside of the conference setting. It’s always great to mix professional development with a little time to experience the local culture.
