Our mission is to contribute to a cleaner and healthier future for pets and our planet.

How we’re making a difference:
Reducing waste:
- High-impact recycling for everything from food containers to event signage
- Increase number of clearly marked recycling bins throughout the event space
- Print badges on heavy paper stock to eliminate the need for plastic sleeves
Sustainable materials:
- Source event lanyards and show bags made from recycled materials
- Water stations to minimize plastic water bottle use
- Use sustainable plates and silverware whenever possible
Food recovery:
- Donate unused pet food samples from exhibitors to local shelters
- Donate excess food items to Pete’s Garden, a local community food pantry helping to eliminate food insecurity in Kansas City, and Pawsperity, a nonprofit grooming school helping single parents living in poverty
Reduce paper usage:
- Produce event signage on recyclable materials
- Re-use signage materials when possible
- NEW: Mobile app event communications to minimize printed materials and signage

Together, we can make a significant impact on a green future for people and pets.
This objective is achieved by reducing waste through high-impact recycling initiatives for all recyclable goods and materials utilized to produce Petfood Forum, donation of excess food items to local food banks and coordinated donation of unused product and trade show samples from exhibitors to Kansas City area pet shelters and rescues.
By taking this proactive leadership role in environmental stewardship, Petfood Forum will positively contribute to lowering our carbon footprint, leading to a cleaner and better future for humans and pets all over the world.
