For the past 13 years, Shelly Hein has been an integral part of the senior management team at Petcurean Pet Nutrition, a Canadian company dedicated to providing premium pet food solutions. As vice president of operations, she leads a diverse department that touches many aspects of the business — from demand planning and inventory control to nutrition, quality assurance, innovation and customer care — ensuring that every function reflects Petcurean’s commitment to quality and excellence. Her journey to the pet industry wasn’t a straight path. Armed with a degree in microbiology and an extensive background in automotive manufacturing operations, Hein honed her problem-solving skills and developed a knack for staying calm when things go off the rails. While those abilities remain invaluable, she finds the pet industry far more fulfilling — after all, happiness is a warm puppy.
