Listen to win: use customer insights and your company’s experts to create breakthrough marketing – Scott Kington, executive vice president of strategic planning and brand development, and Andrew Grinch, content director, Woodruff Sweitzer, provide five ways to find customer insights and prioritize key themes your company can speak to, then identify internal experts to tell relevant and unique stories as the solutions your customers seek. Sixty percent of Millennials prefer to hear from experts instead of read corporate statements, and companies that create relevant content using employees as experts will create a loyal customer base. The speakers offer ready-to-use templates and how-to examples for achieving this.

A business and brand facilitator, Kington leads research and insights, business and brand planning at Woodruff Sweitzer. He has counseled a number of companies such as Pfizer Animal Health, Nestlé Purina, Iams and Diamond Pet Foods. Kington has presented on brand strategy at the University of Missouri’s Robert J. Trulaske Sr. College of Business, Stephens College, and on value innovation at the National Agri-Marketing Association.

Grinch oversees a specialized team that focuses on both the development and distribution of strategic content marketing initiatives for a range of clients, including a leading pet food manufacturer and a global animal health company. He has several years’ experience in sports marketing, which helped create his expertise in multimedia content for video, website and social media. As a former TV journalist, Grinch knows how to create and tell compelling stories and has achieved great success in helping clients tell theirs.
