Petfood Forum Asia highlights pet food sustainability

Pet food markets in Asia continue to rise. Calling the Asia-Pacific region the “next frontier” for pet food, Euromonitor International projects absolute sales of dog food there to increase nearly US$4 billion through 2023, with cat food sales also showing strong growth at US$2 billion. Even more impressive, cat treat sales rose 23% a year from 2013-2018 in Asia. This follows cat ownership growth in the region of almost 30% during the same five-year period.

As these markets develop and grow, business strategies and priorities for pet food producers in the region are changing. Petfood Forum Asia 2020, scheduled for 25 March at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, will help professionals from these companies learn how to make their product development and processes more sustainable. In addition, leading industry experts will offer updates and insights on the market, branding, palatability, proteins in pet food and pet food safety management.

Held in conjunction with Victam and Animal Health and Nutrition Asia 2020, a large agri-feed show and conference, Petfood Forum Asia also offers opportunities to network with leading pet food industry suppliers and other pet food professionals.
