Experience:

Morris began his career with a Fortune 100 consumer products good company in sales, after starting up several small companies in high school and college. Then, after 10+ years working for larger companies out of college, he entered the private equity/leveraged buyout world as a member of a management team; the first company they worked on was Meow Mix, where they grew the enterprise value over US$525 million in four years. When it was sold, it made lots of people wealthy, Morris unemployed and convinced he could create a company with a very different approach to pet nutrition and business. In 2006, he and two friends co-founded Freshpet, eventually becoming part of the team that took it public in 2015. Their mission: make great food for pets and happy pet parents, create a great team, have wonderful partners and be kind to the planet while making money for their investors.
