Following today’s pet food shopping journey. Who is today’s pet food buyer, what is their journey, how is the pet food aisle evolving given the changing landscape and how does the journey and in-store experience impact pet food purchase decisions? Casey shares results of a custom study of 500 cat and dog owners revealing their shopping preferences and behaviors, and identifying key considerations, benefits and barriers to pet food purchases in multiple channels. She also suggests opportunities for pet food manufacturers and pet retailers.

Experience:

Casey is responsible for all marketing activities within the flexible packaging division of TC Transcontinental, focusing on branding, market-consumer analysis and trends, product management, ideation and strategy. During her career, Casey has worked with many consumer goods companies, including P&G, Kellogg, Con Agra, Smithfield and Heinz, on marketing and package design to support their brand messaging and consumer’s needs. Her expertise lies in translating consumer trends and market insights into product innovation, marketing and strategic business development. Casey received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois and a graduate degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University. She is an active member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and the Flexible Packaging Association.
