Presentation Description:

My pets eat better than me: pet specialty data and trends show why – The number of US households with cats or dogs is steadily on the rise as younger generations opt for pet parenting in place of child-rearing. As these generations gain influence, their demands for healthier, more transparent and ethically sourced pet foods are becoming more apparent. Davis highlights humanistic trends driving premiumization in the US pet specialty channel and how some new, and not-so-new, categories are transforming as a result. She also identifies the winning play for 2018 and beyond.

Experience:

In her role with GfK’s Pet Specialty Sales Tracking, Davis consults with leading manufacturers to help solve business challenges through the use of big data. She is adept at finding trends in GfK’s unmatched purchase database representing about 11,000 pet stores (and more than 30,000 veterinarian clinics) nationwide, revealing emerging opportunities at the product, category and regional levels. Davis holds a degree in applied mathematics from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
