Pet owner attitudes toward pet probiotics in pet food, treats and supplements — Lidiia Alaverdova, head of global marketing for the ANH and global pet portfolio for Chr. Hansen, shares independent research on millennial pet owners’ perceptions of probiotics for their pets in the U.S. and China. The findings can help pet food brands improve packaging claims and better support their customers along the purchase journey.
Lidiia Alaverdova, DVM, received her veterinary degree from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine in 2007. She has worked in various roles within the veterinary and pet industry, including veterinarian in private practice, editor-in-chief of a veterinary magazine, marketing & regulatory affairs, professional & technical affairs and brand management at regional and global levels for large consumer goods companies including Pfizer and Hill’s Pet Nutrition. In 2020 Alaverdova joined Chr. Hansen, a global bioscience company, where she leads the development of new microbial solutions for pets and serves as a head of the global marketing team in the Commercial Development, Animal Health & Nutrition division.
