As countries and societies start to emerge from lockdowns and economies open back up, what consumer trends are driving the pet food market, now and going forward? A panel of experts will provide their projections and insights on market, ingredient, product and packaging trends that will influence pet food product development, marketing, production, retailing and other areas.


Patterson is an experienced leader in the food manufacturing and value-added ingredients industry. She is the general manager for Petsource, an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of the Scoular Co. that produces high-protein, freeze-dried ingredients as a contract manufacturer for pet food companies. It is among the first in the U.S. to bring freeze-dried pet food ingredient manufacturing steps together under one roof. Before coming to Omaha, Nebraska-based Scoular, Patterson worked for 16 years at Conagra Brands, where she most recently served as vice president and general manager of Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings. Her career includes supply chain management and manufacturing expertise producing high-quality, food-safe ingredients used in retail, food manufacturing and food service applications. Patterson graduated from the University of Notre Dame and has an MBA from the University of Nebraska.
