Opening keynote: David Allison, What Valuegraphics can tell you about your pet food consumers

David Allison, founder of the Valuegraphics Project, will kick off the morning sessions on Tuesday, May 2.

Allison helps brands and marketers track consumer behavior and trends using a unique metric. Rather than monitoring traditional factors like consumer demographics, he leads with Valuegraphics, a one-of-a-kind database compiled of the core values of hundreds of thousands of consumers from around the world. He will share the common core values of pet owners, based on an exclusive survey conducted uniquely for Petfood Forum to help brands and companies anticipate consumer behaviors and needs for the types of pet foods and treats they seek to buy.

Wednesday eye-opener session: Mary Kelly, Futurenomics: Turning crisis into clarity for your team and organization

Mary Kelly, author of 15 business and leadership books including 15 Ways to Grow Your Business in Every Economy, will speak on Wednesday, May 3.

Kelly will present Futurenomics: an economic snapshot of all the issues affecting the economy — and pet food businesses — now, including inflation, staffing shortages and ongoing supply chain disruptions. She will provide solutions and handouts to help attendees understand how to best lead teams through difficult situations. Kelly is an internationally recognized economist, author and speaker who shares her perspective on creating strong leadership, productivity and communication. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, with a Ph.D. in economics, she has learned many lessons in leadership during more than 20 years of active duty in intelligence and logistics. In her free time, Mary can be found with her dogs and a glass of wine.
