Efficacy of vinegar in expanded canine diets for product security – The purpose of this topic is to discuss a specific study executed to determine the efficacy of including vinegar in a typical dry expanded canine diet in regard to furthering existing controls for mold growth and providing a residual agent for APCs. The presentation will walk the attendees through the entire study, beginning with the development of the study protocol (formulation design, decision tree, risk assessment, equipment profile, process profile, etcetera), through protocol execution and ending with a review of the resultant product analysis and shelf life performance.
