Updated strategies for managing contamination, recall and litigation risks under FSMA – Joan Archer, PhD, JD, partner with Husch Blackwell, Steve Kluting, attorney at Gallagher, and Megan Galey, attorney at Husch Blackwell, offer information to help pet food manufacturers and ingredient suppliers prepare for contamination events and recalls under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). They cover best practices in documentation that can help defend against litigation and how to best develop FSMA-compliant programs and address allocation of risk along the supply chain. In addition, the speakers unlock the mysteries of potential insurance coverage available to address contamination events and provide the latest news regarding FSMA rules and enforcement.
