Petfood Forum 2017 will take place on April 3-5, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. For 25 years, Petfood Forum has been the global pet food industry’s most unique and exclusive event, bringing together thousands of pet food professionals from around the world.

For the third consecutive year, the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri will be the host for Petfood Forum, which is located in the heart of the Animal Health Corridor, connecting attendees with more than 70 animal health and pet food company headquarters. Petfood Forum 2017 will be located in a new location within the convention center, which will feature an expanded, sold out exhibit hall floor to hold over 250 of the industry’s top pet food manufacturers and suppliers.

Learn 3 key elements shaping pet food brand success

Six interactive workshop stations led by top industry suppliers and researchers will feature palatability, sensory analysis and consumer insights

Learn how to crack the code on palatability measurement and analysis, sensory analysis and consumer insights. On Monday, April 3, Petfood Innovation Workshop will focus on these key aspects of pet food product development, using a one-of-a-kind interactive format to help participants understand and work through measuring, analyzing, understanding and using these tools to enhance their pet food brand’s success.

The day will begin with an opening session from David Sprinkle of Packaged Facts on how to obtain and mine consumer insights, specifically exploring the influential mindset of Pet Parents and critical pet food purchase drivers. Further exploration of pet parents’ impact on the evolution of the pet food market will continue in the Pet Family Feud workshop activity, where Sprinkle along with Terry Schroff, CEO of Quiet Light Communications, will host one of six interactive workshop stations.

Following the opening presentation, workshop attendees will be transported to K-State Olathe, approximately 30 minutes from the Kansas City Convention Center, for the interactive activities. Attendees will rotate among six different stations, led by top pet food industry researchers and suppliers, such as Kemin Industries (Nutrisurance), AFB International, Diana Pet Food, Extru-Tech, Inc., Kerry, and David Sprinkle with Terry Schroff. These interactive activities will consist of palatability and sensory analysis panels, kibble textures, aroma versus shelf-life, quantitative analysis and focus groups.
