NQV8

Kansas State University Pet Food Program and Institute for Commercialization

Demonstration Description:

Mapping the path forward to successful new product development – The team from NQV8 and Kansas State University will provide an overview of what it takes to capture the details necessary for bringing new pet food and treat products successfully to market and how to plan for the key milestones along the path. The activity will introduce the “incuvation process” and allow participants to interact with proven approaches, engage with fellow participants in action-teams within each rotation.  In the process participants will identify key steps, determine tactical solutions, determine a critical path, and identify gaps in their hypothetical new product concept plan – going from idea through successful commercialization. The interactive experience will use modified real-world examples of successful new products to serve as models for the teams to explore the tricks, tips, and pitfalls along the path to successful new products.
